Product Overview

Cold Rolled Spring Steel Strip is a premium, high-carbon alloy steel strip manufactured through precision cold rolling and advanced atmosphere-controlled heat treatment. Compared to standard mild steel, our spring steel strips deliver significantly higher tensile strength, superior elastic limit, outstanding fatigue life, and exceptional dimensional tolerance control.

It is the premier material choice for manufacturing high-performance springs, blades, and complex elastic components subjected to repeated high-stress cycles. We supply a comprehensive portfolio of spring steel strips in various international grades, thicknesses, widths, edge treatments, and customized hardness ranges to align perfectly with your global manufacturing standards.

Key Advantages

Superior Elastic Recovery & High Strength: An exceptional yield-to-tensile strength ratio allows components to undergo extreme deflection and return to their original shape without permanent deformation.

Ultra-Precise Dimensional Tolerances: Utilizing high-precision Sendzimir 20-high cold rolling mills equipped with advanced AGC (Automatic Gauge Control) systems, we maintain tight thickness and width tolerances. This uniformity guarantees consistent stamping feeding and high-yield production runs.

Excellent Fatigue and Wear Resistance: Engineered with a highly uniform microstructure, our spring steel strips resist micro-cracking and structural fatigue. For instance, our alloyed 51CrV4/50CrV4 grades are optimized to withstand over 10 million compression cycles without load loss under prolonged, high-frequency dynamic loading.

Impeccable Surface Integrity: Processed under controlled protective atmospheres (hydrogen-bell annealing) to prevent decarburization, ensuring a clean, uniform finish. Available in bright, polished, blue-tempered, and rust-protective oiled finishes.

Manufacturing Process & Quality Control

Our rigorous quality assurance system monitors every stage of the production cycle to guarantee absolute batch-to-batch consistency:

Premium Raw Material Selection: We source high-purity, vacuum-degassed hot rolled coils with minimal non-metallic inclusions to prevent micro-defects.

Acid Pickling: Complete removal of surface oxides and scale to prepare an optimal substrate for cold reduction.

Precision Cold Rolling: Multi-pass rolling on high-precision mills achieves specified thickness uniformity and grain refinement.

Controlled Atmosphere Heat Treatment: Utilizing advanced hydrogen-bell annealing or continuous hardening & tempering lines to precisely engineer the requested mechanical properties and hardness profiles without decarburization.

Precision Slitting: Advanced rotary shear slitting lines cut the coils to customized widths with minimal burr.

Comprehensive Inspection: Our in-house laboratory-equipped with Spectro chemical analyzers, Vickers/Rockwell hardness testers, and metallographic microscopes-tests every batch for chemical composition, tolerances, tensile strength, elongation, hardness (HV/HRB/HRC), and surface roughness before dispatch.

FAQ

Q: What is your standard lead time for custom production?

A: Generally, our production lead time is 20 to 30 days following order confirmation and deposit receipt. This depends on the steel grade, specified heat treatment state (such as hardening and tempering), and our current mill schedule.

Q: Do you provide samples for testing and evaluation?

A: Yes. We provide free product samples (typically in strip or small coil format) for your metallurgical and stamping trials. Please contact our technical sales team to specify your required dimensions and hardness. Shipping costs are typically covered by the buyer.

Q: What quality certificates accompany your steel shipments?

A: All shipments are supplied with an original Mill Test Certificate (MTC) conforming to EN 10204 3.1. The MTC includes heat numbers, chemical analysis, mechanical property test results (tensile strength, yield strength, hardness, elongation), and dimensional tolerances. Third-party inspections (e.g., SGS, TÜV, BV) can be easily arranged upon request.

Q: How is the material packed to prevent rust during long-distance ocean transit?

A: We apply a strict export-grade, seaworthy packaging protocol:
Steel strips are coated with high-performance rust-preventive oil, wrapped in VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) paper and protective plastic film, secured with heavy-duty steel bands, and mounted securely on reinforced wooden pallets or packed into custom wooden crates.
