Product Overview
HRPO (Hot Rolled Pickled and Oiled) Slit Steel Coils are produced by processing hot rolled steel coils through pickling, oiling, and slitting.
During the hot rolling process, oxide scale forms on the steel surface due to high-temperature processing. The pickling process removes this surface scale, resulting in a cleaner surface condition compared with untreated hot rolled steel. After pickling, an oil coating is applied to help reduce oxidation during storage and transportation.
Through slitting processing, wider hot rolled coils can be converted into narrower steel strips according to required dimensions.
HRPO slit steel coils are commonly used for applications requiring a cleaner hot rolled surface condition and suitable characteristics for further fabrication processes, including welding, cutting, forming, and general steel processing.
Product Features
Pickled Surface Condition
The pickling process removes oxide scale generated during hot rolling, providing a cleaner surface condition for further processing.
Oiled Surface Protection
The oil coating helps reduce surface oxidation during storage and transportation.
Flexible Slit Width
Hot rolled coils can be processed into different slit widths according to product requirements.
Suitable for Further Processing
HRPO slit coils are commonly used for fabrication processes such as welding, cutting, forming, and assembly, depending on the selected grade and application.
